Hobart Airport (HBA)
Airport Information

(Hobart, Tasmania - TAS, Australia)

Located on Australia's southerly island of Tasmania (TAS) and serving the capital city, Hobart Airport (HBA) is around 17 km / 10.5 miles to the east Hobart city centre. Close to the Cambridge Aerodrome, Llanherne, Mount Rumney and the Tasman Highway, Hobart Airport is sited directly south of Midway Point and Shark Point, both of which lie across the Tasman Sea.

Following a major $15 million upgrade, which includes a state-of-the-art baggage screen system and centrally located check-in hall, Hobart Airport has also recently launched a new arrivals carousel. The airport features a single runway measuring some 2,250 metres / 7,382 feet, enjoys curfew-free flights and encompasses just under 1,235 acres / 500 hectares, alongside Barilla Bay.

Currently three airlines operate a number of schedule services - Jetstar Airways (JQ), Qantas Airways (QF) and Virgin Blue (DJ) link Australian cities, such as Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. A seasonal service is provided by Singapore Airlines (SQ), while Tasair (TA) links Hobart Airport with the city of Devonport, on the north-western side of Tasmania.
